Vinschgau is one of the warmest and driest alpine regions. The mix of Italian and Austrian culture is absolutely lovely in summer as well as winter. Schluderns/Sluderno is a wonderful little village with nice walks and fine family skiing in the winter. There are nice excursions to cultural sites for non-skiers. We love to return to this region and when we go for a hotel inclusive board solution, Hotel Engel is our very first choice. Our familiy have now spent 3 X-mas vacations on this wonderful family owned hotel. The hotel, localities, restaurant, service & staff are absolutely top quality and at a very reasonable price. There are sauna and several pools, one on the roof with a spectacular view over the alps.

This hotel has had its day, it is very tired. It is full of swiss tourists, 60+, on a short break which is good value if you earn your money in Switzerland. There is a set dinner menu with a simple buffet which is attacked by the hoards at …
